Frequently asked

Do I need a Polish EORI or UK EORI to import into Poland?

Importing into Poland requires primarily a Polish EORI number (issued by Polish customs authorities). If you are a UK exporter, you need a UK EORI for export registration. Polish importers or any logistics operator handling the route must have a Polish EORI. We help obtain the EORI number and implement customs procedures with Polish administration.

How long does SAD PL clearance take?

Typically 1-3 working days from submission of complete documentation to Polish customs. Time may extend to 5-7 days if goods require physical inspection or documents need completion. We track the status in the PUESC system and keep you informed in real time. With us: submit documents to us, we prepare the SAD PL and lodge it with Polish customs.

Is INTRASTAT mandatory?

Yes, INTRASTAT is mandatory for all imports from the EU (including from Germany, France, Belgium, etc.) into Poland. If the import is from the UK (third country), INTRASTAT is not required, but SAD PL is required. Goods valued above EUR 150 must be reported to GUS (Polish Statistics Office). We prepare INTRASTAT reports (Supplementary Declaration) every month for regular importers.

What documents are needed for Polish customs clearance?

To file SAD PL in Poland, you need: (1) Invoice with sender and recipient details, (2) Transport document (CMR, AWB, parcel slip), (3) Goods description (manufacturer, quantity, unit, HS code), (4) Certificates or declarations (if goods require: CE, FCC, CITES, or phytosanitary documents), (5) EORI number of recipient (Polish importer). We help verify documents before submission.

Do you handle Procedure 4200 (Regime 42)?

Yes. Procedure 4200 (Regime 42 — Customs Warehouse / Transit Procedures) allows goods to be imported without immediately paying duty and VAT, then sold or re-exported. This is an advanced procedure requiring authorisation and guarantee from Polish customs. We handle Procedure 4200 setup for regular importers and logistics operators. Implementation cost: individual audit.

How much does full Polish import clearance cost?

Typically £45-65 for preparation and submission of SAD PL to Polish customs, plus £25 for INTRASTAT report per month (if applicable). Final pricing depends on import route (UK vs EU), goods complexity (whether certificates are required), volume (number of shipments) and whether you need support with special procedures (Regime 42, guarantees, etc.). We invite you for a consultation without commitment.
