UK Construction Products Regulation (UK CPR)
All construction products (placed on the market for permanent incorporation) must bear the mark UKCA. The UK government has repeatedly postponed the deadline for recognising the CE mark, but ultimately UKCA is inevitable.
Special situation: Northern Ireland
The mark still applies for Northern Ireland CE (or UKNI). If you are shipping goods to Belfast, the rules differ from those for London. Belfast is effectively treated as an EU market regarding product standards.
Chemical products (Adhesives, paints)
If you export construction chemicals: 1. UK REACH: Substance registration. 2. GB CLP: Classification and labelling (pictograms). Labels must comply with UK CLP (often identical to EU, but the responsible entity's address must be in the UK!).
Customs duty
Building materials (ceramics, cement, mineral wool) usually benefit from 0% duty (TCA).
What the current official guidance means in practice
