The minimum set is: commercial invoice, packing list, CMR, EORI number (PL and the GB consignee's, or your own GB EORI), export declaration EX-A. For TCA preference — a statement of EU origin. Before arrival in the UK: Safety & Security declaration (ENS/S&S GB).
UK export clearance (import into the UK): £45–£120. ENS/S&S GB: £25–£50. T1 Transit (if required): £250–£350 plus guarantee. These are indicative ranges — exact pricing after document submission.
Not always. If you sell DAP or EXW, the UK consignee uses their own GB EORI for the import clearance. If you sell DDP (you are responsible for UK import clearance), you need a GB EORI or must appoint an indirect customs representative.
ENS (Entry Summary Declaration) is the safety and security notification required before goods enter the UK. It applies to all shipments from the EU since 31 January 2025. It must be submitted in the S&S GB system at least 2 hours before arrival at the port. Cost: £25–£50.
DAP (Delivered At Place) is the most popular choice for Polish exporters — you pay for transport and the UK consignee handles import clearance. DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) puts all obligations on you (GB EORI required). EXW minimises your obligations but is often rejected by freight forwarders because of issues with the export declaration.
