What is a GMR number and when is it required?

GMR (Goods Movement Reference) is a unique reference number required in GVMS (Goods Vehicle Movement Service) for all RoRo movements (vehicles with cargo) through GVMS ports — including Dover, Folkestone (Eurotunnel), Holyhead and other major UK ferry ports.
